BYSL works closely with the City of Idaho Falls to fund maintenance and purchase of soccer fields, goal posts, and restrooms. The league also uses its funds to provide equipment for its volunteer coaches (balls, nets, and flags). BYSL also provides funds for coaching and referee clinics and certifications courses. Additionally, the league pays fees for any players who want to play but would be otherwise unable to participate due to financial constraints.
BYSL supports other local youth soccer-related programs, such as the YMCA’s indoor soccer arena. The money raised by the league is put back into soccer programs to directly benefit the players. BYSL provides tournaments, soccer camps, and other opportunities to the youth of Eastern Idaho. We want kids to play!
Keep updated with what is going on at BYSL by checking out our news page or learn more about how BYSL works by visiting our resources page. If there is anything you think we can improve, if you would like to volunteer, or if you have information for us, do not hesitate to contact one of the Directors or contact BYSL. Our newsletter, The Far Post, published three times a year, is a great place to find information.
BYSL is operated by the efforts of many volunteers including a Board of Directors, Directors of specific programs, coaches, assistant coaches and others. We all love soccer and want to see our kids improve their lives and succeed as they are given opportunities to compete and grow through the game.
